Ecodrive was having a problem getting their users to market this service effectively and wanted to revamp their resource center. Currently, the center is one long scrolling page with a seemingly random layout of assets and no clear instructions on how to use them. All of the assets were stored on a Google Drive account and everything links away from the Ecodrive site.

As part of my research into how to fix this problem, I conducted user interviews to find out exactly what their users are actually using from the center and where the priority needs to be in a new dashboard design. Here were my findings:

Users were annoyed that they had to go to a completely new site they weren't familiar with to download their assets.

They didn't like that the assets and information was spread out all over the page and with no organization.

They really had no idea how to even use the assets without any clear direction.

To address these issues, I designed a completely new dashboard with in-house assets organized by priority and with clear direction on how to use them.

I started with some sketches for how I thought the information could be laid out. I made a few wireframes based on the sketches and I just couldn't find a way to make it less confusing than the current layout.

I did some research on dashboard design and what successful companies like Google were doing with their dashboards which are very familiar to users because of their size. As a result, I ended up scrapping some of my original ideas in the sketches, but carried over a few of the ideas in my final designs.

VIEW PROTOTYPE

After creating my high fidelity prototype I tested it with the previously interviewed users to overwhelmingly positive reception! Every user appreciated the organization, the informative descriptions, and the assets being housed on the same page.
